Enjoy light bites, wine and beer while you tour the recently renovated BOTA Center. Originally built as the Badcock Furniture showroom in 1957, the glass-walled, terrazzo-floored structure was purchased by Latitude 27 Properties’ Howard Davis with the vision of transforming it into a bright, modern retail and work space. Along with Mr. Davis, principals from Sweet Sparkman Architects and Hive Architects will be on hand to discuss the challenges of renovating a 60-year-old structure while retaining its unique midcentury character.

MOD Artist Chair Auction: Ten of Sarasota’s most creative artists have each painted an iconic Eames© chair to be auctioned in support of SAF programs, including our annual scholarships and preservation efforts. The chairs will be on display at the BOTA Center party and later at the Home Resource contemporary furniture showroom. The online auction will go live beginning Friday, October 27 and continues through SarasotaMOD Weekend. Winners will be announced Sunday, November 12th at the SarasotaMOD Rosemary District Walking Tour.
